Performer/Theatre Project
K1 children started their exploration on performer and theatre in July. After visiting the Victoria Theatre, watching a children production in the SRT Theatre and talking to puppeteer Ms Tan Beng Tian from The Finger Players and a lighting technician, the children had more information to work on their project. They constructed a Control Room, a stage, a back stage, a ticket counter, audience seats and finally, produced shows for all the children in Creative O. Their final challenge to round up this project was to work with the theatre practitioner Mr Julius Foo on a 20-miniute drama skit that was presented at the Seminar On Healthy Eating in Childcare Centres on 30 Nov. Parents were invited to watch the show and were overwhelmed with the children’s potentials.
